Freelance Writer for the Financial Services Industry

Bobbie's 20-year career in the financial services industry has included tenures in investment banking, buy- and sell-side equity research, and marketing management for some of the industry's most prominent names. Her skills as a freelance writer and knowledge of the field have won her numerous blue chip clients, including Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Investments, Bear Stearns, Citigroup, Northern Trust and AIG. From insightful feature articles profiling top portfolio managers to compelling brochures about timely investment products, Bobbie brings to clients a depth of understanding that few other financial writers can rival.

Prior to becoming a freelance writer, Bobbie was a senior marketing manager for Salomon Smith Barney (SSB). In this role, she was selected to manage multi-million dollar marketing campaigns for the firm's first section 529 college savings plans. In addition to project management responsibilities, Bobbie wrote the copy for a range of marketing materials targeted to financial consultants and prospective investors.

Prior to joining SSB, Bobbie was a corporate finance associate with the Chase Manhattan Bank. In this role, she participated on deal teams within the firm's asset backed securities group in New York and multinationals group in London. She also worked with the portfolio management team of Chase Asset Management, where she performed fundamental research on investment candidates in the retail industry.

Before becoming a corporate finance associate, Bobbie was a marketing manager for Chase's capital markets business and, separately, an assistant vice president in Chase's corporate communications department. Prior to joining Chase, Bobbie was an assistant vice president at Scudder, Stevens & Clark in New York, where she wrote RFP responses and other marketing materials. Before joining Scudder in New York, Bobbie was an assistant research analyst to a top ranked sell-side oil and gas analyst at both C.S. First Boston and UBS Securities. Prior to this, Bobbie was a registered representative in Scudder's mutual fund shareholder services department in Boston.

Bobbie received a B.A. in economics from Bucknell University in 1988, and an MBA in finance and marketing from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at NYU in 1996. Early in her career, she passed her examinations for the Series 7, 6 and 63 securities licenses.
